Pattern Description:

The Alyssia Clutch Shoulder Bag is part clutch, part shoulder bag, but most of all sure to become your favorite purse.  As the name indicates, the shoulder strap can be removed and Alyssia can carried as a modern styled clutch using the crescent shaped top handle; but as a shoulder bag it is roomy enough to be carried during the day.

Alyssia is a gorgeous clutch/shoulder bag that measures 10 1/2" Wide, 6 1/2" High, and 3" Deep that will double as a clutch for a night out and will easily accommodates your wallet, keys, and cosmetics. It's that kind of unique bag that people will ask you about wherever you go.

Alyssia features:

•      A fold over flap the features a twin magnetic snap closure.
•      A unique arch shaped carry handle.
•      An adjustable shoulder strap that allows the bag to be       carried as a shoulder bag, slung   across the body, or beremoved so the body can be used as a clutch.
•      A large interior Slip Pocket that helps keep your items organized.
•      An interior Zipper Pocket.

Best of all Alyssia sews up quickly and looks great in just about any fabric you choose; you can dress her up or dress her down, so you are certainly going to want to make a few!

MATERIALS NEEDED:

FABRICS AND INTERFACINGS:

1/2 yard 44" wide Quilting Weight or Dcor Weight Main Fabric

3/4 yard 44" wide Quilting Weight Lining Fabric

1- 12" x 18" Piece Contrasting Fabric - Vinyl, Leather, or Quilting weight (fabric backed with Pellon 809 Dcor Bond   Interfacing).

1 1/2" yards Fusible Pellon SF 101 or a woven shaping interfacing -Light Interfacing

1/2 yard Fusible Dcor Bond - Pellon 809/ or 1/4 yard 808 Firm Stablizer-Heavy Interfacing

2/3 yard Peltex 71f Ultra Firm 1-sided Fusible or 1/3 yard Fusible Fleece -TP971F-Pellon Fleece Thermolam Plus -Stabilizer

ZIPPERS:

1- 8" or larger #3 Zipper

HARDWARE:

2- Magnetic Snaps

4- 3/4" Rectangle Rings

8- Medium Sized Double Cap Rivets (optional but recommended for attaching the handle to the connectors)

1- 3/4" Slider

2- 3/4" D-rings

OTHER:

2- 3/4" Swivel Hooks

Coordinating thread

Removable Fabric Marker (I recommend a Frixion gel pen as it can be removed by pressing with an iron)

Microtex (Sharp) Needle 80/12 -Recommended for topstitching through the thicker parts.
