Pattern Description:
The Juno Sling Purse: is a stylish and classy version of the traditional crossbody bag. Juno the ideal bag for the multi-tasker. A Slim, hands-free design, with a lots of pockets so there is a place for everything. The Juno Sling is the perfect excuse to use that ideal piece of statement hardware you have in your stash or have been dying to get. Be it a turn lock, flip lock, gate lock, magnetic edge clasp...or even make your statement literal with an inspirational word band or Concho. The possibilities are endless as Juno was designed to fit any flap closure that measures up to 2" wide.
The Juno Sling features: A comfortable sling adjustable strap that makes it easy to carry either over the shoulder or cross-body style. A unique shape that creates a low profile design, but still roomy enough to hold everything neatly inside. A flap that allows you to choose a unique closure to set the mood of your bag. Easy to add leather/vinyl accents that even a beginner can accomplish. Juno is the ideal purse to dress it up or dress it down. She pretty much looks perfect in anything! Finished size: 9" Wide, 11" High, and 3" Deep at the base.
MATERIALS NEEDED:
FABRICS AND INTERFACINGS:
2/3" yard 44" wide Main Fabric
1 yard 44" wide Lining Fabric 1- 8" x 10" piece
Contrasting Fabric of Vinyl/ Leather
2 yards Fusible Pellon SF 101 or a woven shaping interfacing
2/3 yard 20" Pellon FF 77 Fusible Flex Foam
9" x 6" piece Fusible Dcor Bond - Pellon 809
ZIPPERS:
9" or longer Coordinating Zipper for Exterior Zip pocket.
8" or longer Coordinating Zipper for Interior Zip pocket.
HARDWARE:
1- 2" wide or smaller Magnetic, Turnlock, or Tongue Lock hardware for the bag closure
1- 3/4" Slider
2- 3/4" Rectangle Rings, D-Rings or O-Rings
OTHER:
Coordinating thread
Removable Fabric Marker (I recommend a Frixion gel pen as it can be removed by pressing with an iron)
Microtex (Sharp) Needle 80/12 -Recommended for topstitching through the thicker parts.
Fabric glue or a temporary bond fabric glue stick (optional).
