The Wayfarer II Backpack Pattern

The Wayfarer II Backpack is designed for the modern traveler that is stylish, functional, and has plenty of pockets to hold everything while moving.

A perfect mix of fashion and function the Backpack with contoured backpack straps for a better stay-put fit, and plenty of pockets to hold everything while moving. The ideal backpack to tote around town or to get away for the weekend.

• The Wayfarer II Backpack has a zippered front pocket to keep your tablet, e-reader, phone and other necessitates handy and secure while on the go.

• A side slip pocket one side and an elastic pocket on the other that is ideal to hold a water bottle or drink.

• A back slip pocket along with another vertical zipper pocket to keep your travel necessities safe while on the go.

• The interior features a large zippered pocket and an additional slip pocket.

The Wayfarer II Backpack measures: 15” wide, 14” high, and 7” deep.

• 1 ⅓ yards 44” wide Décor Weight Fabric or Quilting Cotton - Main Fabric 

• 1 ½ yards 44” wide Quilting Cotton Lining Fabric- Lining Fabric

• 1 ½ yards 45” Fusible Pellon 809 Decor Bond Interfacing - Heavy Interfacing

• 1 ½ yards 20” Fusible Pellon SF 101 - Light Interfacing

• ¾ yard Fusible Fleece - TP971F - Pellon Fleece Thermolam Plus- Stabilizer

• ¼ yard 20” Pellon FF 77 Fusible Flex Foam - Backpack Strap Padding

• 1- 10” piece ½” Elastic

• 1 ⅓ yards 1” Strap Webbing

HARDWARE:

• 2- 1” Rectangle, D-Ring, or O-Rings

• 2- 1” Adjustable Sliders

ZIPPERS:

• 1- 20” or longer #5 Coordinating Zipper- Main Closure

• 1- 12” or longer #5 Coordinating Zipper- Exterior Front Pocket

• 1- 12” or longer #5 Coordinating Zipper- Exterior Back Pocket

• 1- 11” or longer #5 Coordinating Zipper- Interior Pocket

*NOTE: If using Zipper by the yard, you will need- 1 ½ yards of zipper tape and at least 4 pulls.
